Gun Violence Prevention Collaborative

Mission

The mission of the Yolo County Gun Violence Prevention Collaborative (YGVPC) is to bring together diverse organizations, including, but not limited to community gun violence interruption groups, education and healthcare sectors, and law enforcement to work collaboratively to identify and address contributing factors that lead to gun violence. We are committed to engaging in practical and sustainable action to reduce and ultimately eliminate how gun violence adversely affects Yolo County, with attention to the disproportionate impact on already marginalized communities. We will work to promote safety, improve quality of life, and foster a sense of trust and unity among the Yolo County residents. We will do this by implementing community-driven, evidence-based gun violence intervention and prevention strategies. Working together, we can create a safer and more peaceful environment for all who call Yolo County home.
