party with a purpose recap
benefiting Empower Yolo!
Dear Friends,
At my annual Party with Purpose, 250 friends, colleagues, and community members gathered together to support the Children’s Program at Empower Yolo and raised over $56,000!
Empower Yolo provides specialized services in Yolo County to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, dating violence, stalking, human trafficking and other forms of abuse. They operate Yolo County’s only 24/7 crisis line and are often called when first responders encounter a family in crisis.
For 49 years, Empower Yolo has stood alongside Yolo County’s most vulnerable children, protecting them from abuse and helping them heal when harm has occurred. Last year alone, of the 211 residents at their shelter, half were children seeking safety with their families. Empower Yolo staff work year-round to transform their shelter into a place of warmth and laughter, where children celebrate birthdays, are recognized for school accomplishments, and learn how to relax and simply be kids again. Your generosity ensures that every child who walks through Empower Yolo’s doors is not only protected, but celebrated, encouraged, and reminded that their future is bright.
My heart is full of gratitude for the generosity of our community.
- Lucas

2025 Party with a Purpose Recap
In 2025, we supported our vulnerable community members through Winters Healthcare! Over 250 friends, colleagues and community members joined us at Berryessa Brewing Co. to be in community together, enjoy music by Red Dog Ash, indulge in desserts prepared by Meals on Wheels Yolo County in their Sutter Health Senior Nutrition Center in Winters, and cookies donated by Upper Crust Baking Company, and enjoy a refreshing beverage from Berryessa Brewing Co. and Berryessa Gap Vineyards, all while raising $50,000 to support the vital services of Winters Healthcare.
For 25 years, Winters Healthcare has been a cornerstone of the west Yolo County community by providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare to all who walk through their doors. They proudly offer vital and comprehensive primary care, dental, pharmacy, and behavioral health services, all under one roof in their state-of-the-art facilities in Winters and Esparto.
2024 Party with a Purpose Recap
In 2024, to celebrate my 45th birthday, my inaugural Birthday Party with a Purpose supported Meals on Wheels Yolo County. Over 250 friends, colleagues and community members joined us on the Sudwerk patio to catch up with each other, enjoy music by Mike Blanchard and the Californios, and enjoy small Meals on Wheels bites while raising over $55,000 for the incredible community non-profit, Meals on Wheels Yolo County.
Meals on Wheels Yolo County (MOW Yolo County) is the only provider of fully-prepared meals for food insecure, isolated seniors in Yolo County. MOW Yolo County operates from two institutional meal production facilities, one in Woodland and one in Winters. MOW Yolo continues to strive to provide as many as 1,200 aging adults in Yolo County with the opportunity to predictably EAT: Eat, Age, Thrive in their own homes and communities, safely and with dignity.
